Have you noticed: that it seems hard to find the time to relax and enjoy life on the planet without something imposing on our minds. Items such as logos and catch phrases are the worst at this. They constantly grab our attention, telling us to buy this, save that, get your discount, look here, and watch this. They are perfectly crafted to distract us from what we were originally intending to do. And although we can’t get away from it out in town, we can cut back on it floating aimlessly in our homes.
From where you are sitting, look around and add up the amount of logo’s and cliches you can spot. There are enormous amounts spread throughout your home asking you for attention. This is a problem if you are trying to relax. I’ve found that by removing them from sight, I have an easier time focusing on what I either need to do or want to do, thus relieving some undesired stress and keeping my living room from looking like downtown Tokyo. I’ll have plenty of time to catch up on my market conditioning later, such as on the drive to work.
I’m creating the stress and anxiety section on this blog for ideas on countering this epidemic. Although, it would be unwise to eliminate stress altogether, we should be able to control it with ease. If you have found something that works for you, send me an email and let me know!
